How We Work
Every repair at chrondele begins with a thorough diagnostic assessment. We open the caseback, examine the movement under magnification, and note the condition of each visible component. This assessment is documented and shared with you before we recommend any course of action.
Our process is methodical: diagnose first, explain clearly, get your approval, then proceed with the repair using the right tools and genuine or equivalent-grade parts. We test thoroughly after the work is done, and we do not return a watch until we are confident it meets our standards.
Service 01
Movement Restoration
A careful, hands-on service dedicated to bringing mechanical and quartz movements back to their intended performance. This includes disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning of all components, replacement of worn parts such as mainsprings and balance staffs, lubrication with watchmaker-grade oils, and full reassembly with timing calibration.
Suited for vintage heirloom timepieces and contemporary mechanical watches alike. Each movement is tested across multiple positions over a 48-hour observation window before being returned. The service covers ETA, Miyota, Seagull, and Sellita calibers among others.
Process Steps
Initial caseback opening and movement inspection under magnification
Complete disassembly and individual component assessment
Ultrasonic cleaning of all movement parts
Replacement of worn components (mainspring, gaskets, balance staff as needed)
Lubrication, reassembly, and multi-position timing calibration
48-hour observation and final accuracy verification
Service 02
Crystal & Case Refinishing
Focused on the external presentation of your timepiece. This service addresses scratches, dents, and wear on both the watch crystal and case. Sapphire and mineral crystals can be polished or replaced. Stainless steel and gold cases are refinished through a combination of brushing and polishing techniques to restore the original factory finish.
Gaskets and crowns are inspected for water resistance integrity. The service also includes bezel realignment and lug polishing. Suitable for dress watches, dive watches, and everyday timepieces that have accumulated signs of daily wear.
Process Steps
Detailed condition assessment and documentation
Crystal evaluation — polishing if viable, replacement if needed
Case brushing and polishing to match factory finish
Bezel realignment and lug refinement
Gasket and crown inspection, replacement if worn
Water resistance pressure test and final quality check
Service 03
Battery & Seal Service
A straightforward maintenance service for quartz timepieces. Includes battery replacement using the appropriate cell type for your specific caliber, inspection of the movement for dust or moisture ingress, replacement of the caseback gasket to maintain water resistance, and a pressure test where applicable.
The technician also checks the crown and pushers for proper function. This service is recommended every 2–3 years to maintain the longevity and accuracy of quartz watches. Walk-in appointments are welcomed, and most standard batteries are kept in stock.
Process Steps
Caseback opening and movement visual inspection
Battery replacement with caliber-specific cell type
Caseback gasket replacement
Crown and pusher function check
Water resistance pressure test (where applicable)
